Share My Baby News: Announcement Script

If you’re having trouble coming up with the words for your announcement call, try this sample script:

“Hi this is [Dad’s name] calling from [hospital name]. [Mom’s name] and I wanted to let you know that [Baby’s name] has arrived! [He/she] weighs _ lbs, _ oz and is _ inches long and [he/she] is beautiful!

We’re going to be resting for a little while today but we’d love to see you or hear from you in the next few days. In fact, if you’re receiving this call live, you can press “2” at the end of this message and record a “welcome message” for [Baby’s name]. We’ll burn all of the messages to a CD and put it in [his/her] baby book to remember this exciting day for years to come. If you are getting this message on an answering machine or voice mail, you can call back in to (877) 628–2995 and use the PIN* ______ to hear this message again and have the option to leave your recorded reply at the end.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you soon.”
